Yoshi-P hints at high PC requirements for Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy 16 for PC is nearing completion in terms of optimization, with no set release date yet. Producer Naoki Yoshida, also known as Yoshi-P, mentioned that the PC version is in the final stages of optimization, but exact system requirements are still being determined. The specifications are expected to be somewhat high, with an SSD likely being mandatory due to the game’s loading speed requirements. While demanding an SSD may seem like a high system requirement, they are now more affordable and offer significant performance benefits over traditional HDDs.

Square Enix plans to announce the official system requirements ahead of the game’s launch and will release a demo for players to test their rigs. However, the development team needs more time before committing to a release date. Yoshida hinted that the wait won’t be too long, possibly shorter than a year or two. It’s worth noting that the PC version of Final Fantasy 15 was released over a year after the console version, so fans may need to be patient.

In other news, Hogwarts Legacy developers are tempering expectations for a summer update, calling it a small gesture of appreciation. The Mass Effect board game will feature miniature figures, sparking interest among fans. Additionally, Helldivers 2 developers are seeking community feedback to improve the game’s host-based kick system.
