Leaked: Get a sneak peek at the major redesign of iPhone 16

Apple fans may be surprised by the changes coming to the next wave of iPhones this fall. Recent leaks have revealed alleged CAD-based renders of the iPhone 16 lineup. The entry-level models are expected to receive a design refinement on the rear shell, particularly with a pill-shaped makeover for the camera island. Meanwhile, the Pro and Pro Max models will see other changes.

The current iPhone 15 duo features diagonally arranged camera lenses on a square glass bump. The upcoming iPhone 16 models will reportedly switch to a vertical pill-like camera island, reminiscent of the iPhone X design. The overall device profile is expected to remain unchanged, with full-screen aesthetics and the Face ID cutout intact.

While details on the internal components are scarce, rumors suggest a new A17 series silicon chip and minor camera upgrades. The design shift to a pill-shaped camera island could make the iPhone 16 a visually distinct upgrade from its predecessor. This change may resonate positively with users, offering a fresh look compared to previous models.

On the Pro models, the refresh introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro pair will continue, with an additional button on the right edge of the phone. This button is rumored to be flush with the frame and may function as a camera shutter button, similar to Lumia and Xperia phones. The relocation of the antenna to accommodate this new button and the potential introduction of a new color, “White Titanium,” add to the anticipated changes.

The smaller Pro model in 2024 is expected to feature a tetraprism 5x telephoto zoom, while the Pro Max model may include a 10x zoom camera. Internal upgrades might result in changes to the overall dimensions, with the iPhone 15 Pro being taller, wider, and thicker than its predecessor. Despite these changes, the aesthetic profile is expected to remain consistent with previous models.

In addition to the iPhone updates, accessories like the Nomad Magnetic Leather Back and the Belkin iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K are also gaining attention. These accessories offer practical solutions for iPhone users, enhancing the overall user experience.

Overall, the anticipated changes to the iPhone 16 lineup, as well as the introduction of new accessories, suggest an exciting year ahead for Apple fans and tech enthusiasts alike.
