Get ready for the launch of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in early 2025!

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set to launch in early 2025, according to SNK. The specific platforms for the game have not been revealed as of yet. Fans will have the opportunity to play the game at EVO Japan 2024, taking place from April 27 to 29 at Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo, Japan. Two new trailers have been released, with the first one announcing the early 2025 release window, and the second one introducing several characters including Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Hotaru Futaba, Tizoc, and Preecha.

The Fatal Fury series made its debut in 1991 and played a crucial role in the fighting game boom of the 1990s. The most recent installment in the franchise was Garou: Mark of the Wolves, released in 1999.

The game will feature a mix of fan-favorite characters from Fatal Fury and Garou: Mark of the Wolves, along with a new character who is a star pupil of Joe Higashi. The REV System will be introduced in this game, offering players unique offensive options from the start of the battle. Players can utilize REV Arts, REV Accel, and REV Blows, among other moves, until the REV Meter overheats. Balancing the heat level and keeping the pressure on the opponent will be crucial for success in the game.

Classic battle systems from the Fatal Fury series, such as Combination Attacks, Just Defense, Braking, Dodge Attacks, and Feints, will make a return in this installment. These systems have been updated and evolved for the modern era, promising intense and competitive gameplay.

Players will have the option to choose from two control schemes in the game: Arcade Style for precise technical inputs, and Smart Style for flashy special moves and combos using directional inputs and single button presses. Whether you are new to fighting games or a seasoned player, there will be a control scheme tailored to your level of expertise.
