The upcoming March Update for Halo Infinite is set to release next week, bringing a range of weapon balance adjustments. These updates aim to address community feedback on the core gameplay experience and enhance the competitive settings used in Ranked matches. A new feature for the highest level of players in Ranked will also be tested out, promising an exciting addition.

Key changes in this update include adjustments to the Bandit EVO and M392 Bandit. Reload speed has been increased, spawn influencer weapon cone has been altered, and Bandit Player Fire Volume has been lowered. These changes were made based on feedback and internal observations to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

The Heatwave, a weapon highly utilized by skilled players in mid to long-range scenarios, has undergone tweaks to decrease its performance slightly. Auto Aim angle and range have been reduced to maintain a balanced gameplay experience for all players.

The Plasma Pistol, a critical weapon in both Ranked and social matches, has seen changes to increase the utility of its charged shot while balancing its single shot use. Rate of fire for the single shot has been decreased, overheat and charge-up time have been adjusted for improved gameplay dynamics.

The Stalker Rifle, known for its effectiveness in close and long-range combat, has been adjusted to make it less overpowering in the hands of highly skilled players. Shots required to overheat have been decreased, and venting rate per second has been slowed down.

The Commando, which has struggled to find its place on the map with the Bandit EVO as the starting weapon, has undergone changes to reset its bloom faster for improved weapon handling.

In response to feedback from players at the highest level of Ranked Arena, a new feature called Deterministic CSR Payouts will be tested. This feature will simplify CSR point distribution for players with a CSR of 1800 and above, providing a fixed amount of CSR points for match wins and losses.

The experiment aims to address concerns about the grind feeling unrewarding for top players, with the goal of making the Ranked experience more enjoyable. The team will closely monitor feedback and performance to determine the impact of this feature and make necessary adjustments in the future.

Players are encouraged to share their feedback during this experiment to help improve the overall gameplay experience. Additionally, the upcoming HCS Major Arlington event hosted by OpTic Gaming will showcase the upcoming balance updates, providing players with a preview of what to expect in Ranked matches.
