Apple has recently announced a price reduction for the 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip, bringing it under $1,000 for the first time. Initially launched in June 2022 at $1,199, the price was lowered to $1,099 in June 2023 with the release of the 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip. The base model includes an 8-Core CPU, 8-Core GPU, 8GB of unified memory, and 256GB of storage. Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air models with M3 chip are now open, with deliveries starting on March 8. The laptops are available in Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray, and Silver, starting at $1,099.
