Apple is gearing up to unveil its latest iPad Pro models, featuring OLED screens in 11- and 12.9-inch sizes. Analyst Ross Young has shared insights on the production status of these new devices, indicating that the 11-inch model may be facing delays compared to its larger counterpart.
Currently, Samsung Display is manufacturing OLED screens for the 11-inch iPad Pro, with LG Display set to join production soon. Meanwhile, LG Display is already producing OLED panels for the 12.9-inch model. However, Young points out that production for the 11-inch variant appears to be lagging behind, potentially leading to limited availability at launch.
Despite these challenges, Apple is expected to address any supply shortages once LG Display ramps up production. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that the new iPad Pro lineup is slated for a release in late March or April, accompanied by a special version of iOS 17.4 tailored to support the latest hardware.
