By targeting automated content creation methods, Google hopes to address the issue of scaled content abuse and content farms that produce low-value material at scale.

Additionally, Google’s algorithm changes will address the practice of reputable sites hosting low-quality third-party content that aims to exploit the site’s credibility. The search engine will now consider third-party content produced primarily for ranking purposes without oversight as spam. Furthermore, Google will crack down on expired domains repurposed as click mills, treating them as spam.

Site owners have been given a two-month notice to adapt to the upcoming changes, which will take effect on May 5. The updates aim to improve search result quality by filtering out spammy and low-quality content. Facebook has already tested a similar system with positive results, leading to increased watch times.
