Samsung is gearing up for the release of its Galaxy Ring later this year, with plans to produce 400,000 units to meet initial demand. Production is set to begin in May 2024, ahead of the expected launch in July and release in August. This number is significant in the smart ring market, nearly half of what the current market leader, Oura, has sold to date. Despite this, Samsung is confident in its ability to keep up with demand due to the product’s small size and the availability of parts.
The Galaxy Smart Ring was unveiled at MWC 2024, featuring nine sizes, three finishes, and up to nine days of battery life. While it can sync with a Galaxy Watch, it is not compatible with iPhones. The compatibility with Android phones is still uncertain.
