Tom Brady defies age, showing faster speed at 46 than in his 20s

At 46 years old, Tom Brady recently took on the challenge of beating his 2000 NFL Scouting Combine 40-yard dash time. In a video posted on his X account, Brady revealed that he ran a 5.28-second dash many years ago during the combine. This year, Penn State lineman Chop Robinson, who is 6’3 and 254 pounds, ran a 4.48 40 on the first day of the combine, showcasing his impressive speed.

Despite not being known for his speed throughout his illustrious NFL career, Brady was determined to improve upon his previous time. He acknowledged that speed isn’t the only measure of a man, but promised to give his best effort. Before the run, Brady confidently stated, “I will give you 100 percent chance of effort.” In the end, he managed to run a 5.18 on one stopwatch and a 5.12 on another, surpassing his old record.

Brady celebrated his achievement by posting on X, writing, “24 years later, redemption is spelled T O M.” Looking ahead, Brady set a high goal for himself for his next attempt, aiming for a sub-5.00 time next year. Additionally, it was announced that Brady is expected to be Fox’s No. 1 analyst for the upcoming NFL season.

Overall, Brady’s determination to improve his speed and surpass his previous record showcases his relentless drive for excellence and his willingness to push himself to new heights.
