Oscar rehearsals: Ferrera drops f-bomb, Spielberg’s superstition

Steven Spielberg kept the Oscars suspense alive during a rehearsal at the Dolby Theatre, refusing to name a “winner” during the run-through to avoid bad luck. The casual atmosphere allowed a peek into the unfiltered moments of stars like Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, America Ferrera, and Kate McKinnon as they presented and rehearsed their segments. The faux winners humorously thanked their loved ones and even some of the actual nominees, adding a light-hearted touch to the proceedings.

Outside the theater, the red carpet preparations were underway with camera crews setting up equipment and practicing shots with stand-ins for A-list celebrities. Spectators eagerly awaited a glimpse of the glamorous carpet area behind cream-colored curtains on Hollywood Boulevard. While journalists were not allowed to watch musical performances rehearsals, a behind-the-scenes photo of Ryan Gosling practicing his nominated song from “Barbie” was shared by the Academy, adding to the excitement leading up to the big night.
