Sony announced on Tuesday that the third installment in the Venom franchise has been titled Venom: The Last Dance and will now be released on October 25th instead of November 8th. The film will be shown in Imax and on PLFs. Kelly Marcel is directing Tom Hardy, who reprises his role as the black widow creature for the third time. Marcel also wrote the screenplay with a story co-written with Hardy. The movie is being produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Marcel, and Hardy, with Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor also starring. Venom 3 will now be competing with Universal/Blumhouse’s The Wolfman and Cinedigm’s Terrifier 3 at the box office. The first two Venom movies have collectively earned $1.36 billion worldwide.
