Selma Blair has decided to make some changes to her professional team, parting ways with her agents at CAA and her publicity team at Narrative. It seems she has also made adjustments to her management and legal representation. For years, Blair has been represented by manager Troy Nankin at Wishlab and attorney Cheryl Snow at Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman.
Recent updates on Blair’s IMDbPro page show new names, Ben Gaynor as her manager and Joshua Reitzas as her attorney. However, none of these individuals were available for comment when contacted by THR. While Blair herself did not respond to requests for comment, it is understood that she made the decision to shake things up.
A representative from CAA confirmed the split without providing a specific reason. This change comes shortly after Blair faced criticism for an anti-Islam comment she made on social media in response to a video defending the Jewish community during the Israel–Hamas conflict.
In her deleted comment, Blair expressed sentiments of deporting individuals she referred to as “terrorist supporting goons.” Following backlash on social media, she issued a public apology acknowledging her mistake and expressing regret for hurting people unintentionally.
Blair’s apology emphasized the importance of understanding the impact of words, particularly during times of global conflict. She clarified that her comment conflated Muslims with radical Islamists and fundamentalists, leading to unintended offense. The actress vowed to do better and expressed love and respect for those she may have hurt.
