Will Ospreay Defeats Konosuke Takeshita In Full-Time AEW Debut At Revolution

Ospreay triumphs over Takeshita in thrilling match

Will Ospreay made his official debut as a full-time member of AEW this past Sunday, where he faced off against Konosuke Takeshita in an intense match that pushed both competitors to their physical limits. Ultimately, Ospreay emerged victorious after executing a Tiger Driver ’91 followed by a brutal Hidden Blade on Takeshita.

Both Ospreay and Takeshita are part of the Don Callis Family, a group within AEW. Following his win, Ospreay was joined by ROH World Television Champion Kyle Fletcher, who was previously associated with Ospreay in the United Empire faction in NJPW and is now a member of the Don Callis Family as well. The two shared a reunion, and it was announced that Ospreay would be facing Fletcher on an upcoming episode of “AEW Dynamite.”

However, Ospreay’s victory came at a cost as he sustained a contusion on his lower back, not far from his liver. Despite this injury, Ospreay is determined to continue competing and is scheduled to undergo a thorough medical evaluation to assess his physical condition. This match marked Ospreay’s first official appearance in AEW under his full-time contract, having previously competed in two matches for the promotion – defeating Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door 2 and Chris Jericho at All In.
