Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in the 90s sitcom “Home Improvement,” was arrested in Riverside County over the weekend. The arrest took place on Feb. 17 at 2 a.m. when deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent traffic collision. The driver, identified as Zachery Ty Bryan, was found to be driving under the influence with prior offenses. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio. Bail was set at $50,000 for the DUI charge and $15,000 for contempt of court. Bryan made bail and is due back in court on April 23 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.
This is not the first time Bryan has faced legal troubles. In July 2023, he was arrested in Lane County, Oregon, for alleged domestic violence, robbery, and harassment charges. He was later released and faced similar charges in October 2020, which ultimately resulted in a guilty plea to assault and menacing charges in 2021. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation and fined $200.
Bryan played the role of Brad Taylor in “Home Improvement” from 1991 to 1999 and has appeared in films such as “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” and “Thor: Hammer of the Gods.” His most recent work was in 2022’s “The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!).”
The actor has been open about his legal issues, acknowledging that while he could have fought the charges, he chose to plead guilty to avoid further stress and drama. This latest arrest adds to a string of legal troubles for the former child actor.
