A new Chick-fil-A restaurant in New York City will focus solely on delivery and mobile pickup orders. Unlike traditional locations, this test restaurant at 79th and 2nd will not have a seating area or dine-in services. It is designed for on-the-go New Yorkers and will use geofencing technology to efficiently prepare digital orders. Customers picking up orders will be able to track their status on in-store screens. Despite the lack of seating, guests can still expect the warm hospitality Chick-fil-A is known for. The company is also exploring a new restaurant design in Atlanta with a kitchen above four drive-thru lanes to meet the demand for speed and convenience. Chick-fil-A, known for being closed on Sundays, has been in business since the 1960s.
